Artist-in-Residence
Nidia Hansen (Lumina Creations)
Nidia is a Perth-based multidisciplinary artist whose practice spans painting, sculpture, and immersive technologies. As artist-in-residence at The Wetlands Centre, she has created large-scale 3D augmented reality artworks that reveal the hidden lives of native species. Her work blends creativity with ecological knowledge, inviting communities to explore the wetlands in new, interactive ways.
Nidia’s practice draws on nature-inspired research and the intersection of tradition and technology. Her immersive AR pieces transform everyday landscapes into living, layered experiences that spark curiosity and reflection on how we care for our environment.
