Welcome to RegionaLink, your connection to the 21st Annual WA Wetlands Conference. In anticipation of support of Lotterywest, we’re thrilled to extend an invitation for regional participants to join this year’s conference on 6–7 February 2025, held to mark World Wetlands Day. RegionaLink recognises the vital role each region of Western Australia plays in preserving and managing our unique wetland ecosystems.
Why Your Participation Matters
Western Australia’s vast and diverse landscape spans from the lush regions of the Kimberley and Pilbara, across the expansive Gascoyne, Mid-West, Wheatbelt, and South West, to the rich biodiversity of the Great Southern. In each of these regions, dedicated rangers, land managers, and community friends groups work tirelessly to protect wetlands from environmental threats and to foster biodiversity, cultural heritage, and community wellbeing.
By connecting with other wetland managers from across the state, you can share your region’s unique insights, learn about successful strategies from different landscapes, and help create a united approach to preserving WA’s wetlands. Your experiences and expertise are critical in addressing the many challenges of wetland conservation in a rapidly changing climate.
