World Wetlands Day – A Community Celebration

Come join us in a FREE OPEN DAY Event that celebrates all things wetlands!

World Wetlands Day is celebrated every year on February 2nd to remind us how important wetlands are for people, animals, and the planet. Wetlands are special places like marshes, swamps, and lakes that provide clean water, protect us from floods, and give animals like frogs, birds, and turtles a safe home. This year's theme, "Protecting Wetlands for Our Common Future," highlights how everyone—kids, adults, and communities—can work together to care for these unique environments. By learning about wetlands and protecting them, we ensure they stay healthy and continue to support wildlife and people for many years to come.

Date: Sunday, the 2nd of February 2025
