Department of Biodiversity, Conservation & Attractions

The Department of Biodiversity, Conservation and Attractions (DBCA) promotes biodiversity and conservation through sustainable management of WA's species, ecosystems, lands and the attractions in their care. They work to conserve WA’s biodiversity, and cultural and natural values. DBCA provides globally recognised nature-based tourism and recreation experiences for the community, with world-class facilities such as King's Park, Perth Zoo and Rottnest Island.

Gold Sponsor

Harry Butler Institute –
Murdoch University

The Harry Butler Institute champions a research space where community, business and biodiversity can co-exist; and where our efforts integrate and balance the needs and aspirations of all three sectors. One of Murdoch University's three core research institutes, The Harry Butler Institute is located at Murdoch University’s Perth campus. The Harry Butler Institute invites you to be a part of their future, to be a world-first research and education facility in Western Australia, which includes the establishment of a state-of-the-art Science Centre, a physical realisation of cherished conservationist Harry Butler's vision.

The Harry Butler Institute has recently signed an MoU with The Wetlands Centre to further our shared objectives in wetlands and environmental education & research. We are honoured to have them as a Gold Sponsor of this Conference, which further evinces their commitment to our wetlands and biodiversity.

Gold Sponsor

Peel-Harvey Catchment Council

The Peel-Harvey Catchment Council (PHCC) is an incorporated, not-for-profit, community-based Natural Resource Management organization that promotes an integrated approach to catchment management as well as protection and restoration of the environment within the Peel-Harvey catchment. The organization is dedicated to building community education and capacity, leading critical thought and environmental pride, and implementing best practices in order to create a healthy and resilient ecosystem in the catchment. By working together with the community, PHCC aims to restore the Peel-Harvey catchment to its former state as a flourishing network of interconnected, productive landscapes.

This conference is supported by Peel-Harvey Catchment Council, through funding from the Australian Government’s National Landcare Program.
